Benefit: Paid on the death of a member, death or a member's spouse or death of a member's child under age 22

Benefit amount in respect of deaths up to and including 31 March 2025:

R48 000 Death of a member

R40 000 Death of a member's spouse

R20 000 Death of a member's child age 6 to 21

R13 000 Death of a member's child under age 6 or a stillborn child

Benefit amount in respect of deaths on or after 1 April 2025:

R55 000 Death of a member

R46 000 Death of a member's spouse

R23 000 Death of a member's child age 6 to 21

R15 000 Death of a member's child under age 6 or a stillborn child
